After tanning, the leather is waxed, making it exceptionally soft and supple while remaining extremely tear-resistant. Over time, vegetable-tanned organic leathers can change under the influence of light.
It is also possible for "natural features" to develop, caused by the influence of certain weather conditions.
Such “natural characteristics” in the leather are not defects (such as stains or similar) in the product, because natural leather does not have a smooth leather surface.
Moisture and dirt can easily penetrate the open pores of leather – stains and discoloration are therefore best prevented by careful handling. Once they occur, they cannot be removed!
