These markings are not defects, such as stains or material flaws, but rather an expression of the original, untreated leather surface, as natural leather does not have a perfectly uniform structure.
The open pores of leather allow moisture, grease, and dirt to be absorbed more easily. Careful and gentle handling helps prevent unwanted stains or discoloration. Once these have occurred, they are usually impossible to remove completely.
